The Prison Show
Ray Hill began The Prison Show in 1980, The weekly call-in and news show featured reporting on issues within Texas' prisons and in the call-in portion of the program inmate's loved ones could go on the air to speak to their incarcerated family members.
Texas prison inmates would not have access to pay phones until 2007 and The Prison Program (later renamed The Prison Show) was the only way inmates within range of KPFT could hear from those who couldn't make the trip on visitation days.
Ray Hill passed away in 2018, but the program lives on.
